The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Airgas (Independence, OH) in Dec 2019
Interview
Applied for the position. Maybe a week later received an email to setup a phone interview. Scheduled and did it a few days later. Was then called in for an in person interview. Met with 6 different people. Entire interview took about an hour. Was called later that day with an offer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Airgas (Independence, OH) in May 2024
Interview
The interview was overall a smooth process. It consists of an initial phone screen, followed by an in-person interview. The questions were pretty standard.
My issue came afterwards. I got the job, got excited, and was really looking forward to working there, but the company they use for background checks was frustrating. It kept telling me my documents weren't accepted. I NEVER had any issues with BCs before as I have a clean record, so I have no idea what the heck went wrong. I tried contacting the BC company's customer support multiple times, but unfortunately, they were no help at all. They just kept repeating the same automated response.
In the end, I just made up some excuse and declined the job offer, even though I didn't want too at all. It was such an upsetting experience. Especially since I've been looking for a job since October.
