I applied through other source. I interviewed at Akkar (Brighton, England) in Dec 2025
Interview
I was headhunted for the role and agreed to discuss in more detail. Casual phone interview followed by a very lengthy task to complete. Second interview was constantly rearranged due to issues on their side. When it did eventually take place there was no real acknowledgement of the task that was completed and the interview was less than 30 mins in total so couldn't even go into much detail. Afterwards I got a fairly standard email saying they had gone for someone else and I had to ask for more specific feedback which they said was simply someone more qualified was offered the role. Since then you can see on LinkedIn that this is not the case and they most likely just went for someone that would accept a much lower salary for the role.

Question 1
Lengthy task which was pretty much a full marketing plan for them to use.
My interview experience was positive overall—the interviewer was professional, asked clear and relevant questions, and provided a good overview of the role and company. I appreciated the opportunity to share my background and ask questions, and the conversation helped me better understand the expectations for the position.
I applied online. I interviewed at Akkar (Hove, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
Two phone calls and one in-person meeting with the CEO, account manager and HR. The office was nice with a lot of natural sunlight and it had good energy. The interview lasted an hour. The questions are pretty straight forward about your goals and aspirations and if it aligns with the role and the company. They were informative and gave a detailed explanation on the role and the nature of the business.
