      Accounting Interview

      4 Mar 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Alameda County in Nov 2011

      Interview

I have achieved the top score on both the written test and oral interview for this position. They invited me to the formal interview one week after I received my score. I went there on time, but the interviewer was late for about 20 minutes, walked in slowly and enjoyed her coffee. She and her associate asked the similar questions that I have been asked in my oral interview. I could tell right away that they have already had somebody in mind since the person in charge didn't seem paying attention at all. And later on, my friend also worked at the same department told me that they hired someone from another department. It just makes me feel that the whole recruiting process is a joke. I have demonstrated my competence through their testing procedures. But the final result really depends on the interviewer's subjective feeling and judgement. I just want to ask the HR, why bother to setup those tiring tests and waste people's time?
