As I was not in Alaska we transacted over email, texting and phone conversation. He told me to send in my resume and a picture. He wasn't very explicit as to whether I had the job upon my arrival, but I went anyways and started working on the tour boat. Eventually he hired me on the Halibut fishing charter which was what I wanted to do. The whole process was a bit shaky in that I didn't know I had the job until I got there.
