I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amelie Company (Denver, CO) in Apr 2018
Interview
They asked me what kind of cheese I see myself as…do I need to say more? They were trying too hard to be trendy and offbeat. Moreover, when I answered (with a common type of cheese) they had no idea what I was referring to. I didn’t like that they asked an irrelevant question that has no bearing on one’s skill set or culture fit especially when they didn’t actually know anything about the topic.

Question 1
What periodicals do you subscribe to?
What type of cheese are you?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amelie Company (Denver, CO) in Feb 2018
Interview
Interviewed with 2 people: current Digital Media Buyer (desperately looking to hire help) and HR rep. Left interview feeling optimistic. Was told they'd be in touch "very soon" as they were looking to hire "within the month".
After sending a thank you note within 24 hours of the interview and a check-in email exactly one week after the in person (there was also a phone screening), I received one email back from HR saying that they were "selecting finalists and would be in touch shortly". After that I heard nothing. No update, courtesy decline, or constructive feedback.
Wasted time, energy and effort on a small company I thought could have potential. Wouldn't recommend taking an interview if you feel like you deserve respect.
Thank you for the feedback! We're very sorry you feel there was a misstep in communication in our interview process. We do make sure to let anyone who interviewed know when we have made a final decision. We are currently still in the process of hiring a digital media planner, and will reach out to all candidates once this job is filled. Once the process is complete, please do feel free to request interview feedback if that is of interest to you.
