I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at America II (Saint Petersburg, FL)
Interview
Simple and informative and I went with questions I wanted answered and they answered them and they asked me questions and I was prepared and it went great. First I had a phone interview and then I had an in person interview and both went well and I was prepared with paper and pen and notes and questions I wanted to ask and I tried to be prepared for the questions they may ask me also. When you have a phone interview for a sales position you have so much time to sell your sell because that's what you job will be so if you do well there then expect to do well at your job. Its the first hurtle once you jump one they start getting easier just stay focused and determined and you will go far.

Interview
The Marketing Director mostly asked me if I had working knowledge of MicroSoft Excel, CorelDraw, etc. This was back in 1996. I took the Excel test and did miserable, but he called to give me the job anyway because of my willingness to do whatever it took.

Question 1
These days, I would imagine that the questioning would be different than it was 15+ years ago. The more experience (social media, web development, graphic design, etc) the better.
