The recruiting experience rubbed me the wrong way. I am no stranger to the process and understand HR / recruiters often communicate via both email and phone call. The recruiter I worked with called me multiple times (I often couldn’t answer because I was still employed and had meetings) and he left voicemails only stating his name and to call him back, which was strange. Didn’t indicate the reason for his call and did not follow up via email. I returned his call and followed up via email when he didn’t answer to let him know it was best to reach me via email, and instead he called me AGAIN. And left me another voicemail just stating his name and asking me to call him back. I did two interviews and they weren’t that difficult, just went over the day to day responsibilities and benefits. I ended up withdrawing because I was interviewing at other organizations with more competitive pay. Honestly the recruiting experience was odd and old school and put me off.
