After an initial interview by phone, I went through two rounds of face to face interviews.
The first round was more laid back and it felt like it was a premise for a successful second round.
That has not been the case, during the 2nd round the person leaving the role for a new one in the organization for some reason seemed quite sceptical and was very demanding when it came to technicalities, there was not even a single question left to the chance or laid back , kind of an open question, after many years I felt like I was back to a thorough University exam. Both interviewers seemed really not impressed nor satisfied with the majority of my answers. I understand that the stakes during a selection process are high and organizations do not want to blow it and chose the wrong candidates, but I did not feel like I had my more recent experience had been taken into account.
I really appreciated though that the Hiring Manager personally made time to connect with me and let me know the outcome and feedback from the interview.
