I interviewed for an administrative role and was told clearly during the interview that I would hear back the next day. The interview itself felt somewhat professional, so this set an expectation of timely communication. However, no update was provided for several days, and I eventually received only an automated rejection email with no feedback or explanation. The lack of communication after explicitly stating a next-day response was frustrating and felt disrespectful of candidates’ time and effort. While rejections are part of any hiring process, failing to keep candidates informed after setting a clear timeline reflects poorly on the overall recruitment experience. More transparent and considerate communication would significantly improve how candidates are treated. Avoid.
