We have tried hard to build a hiring process that is both effective at matching our company with top senior engineers, while also feeling like an effective & efficient use of applicants time.
The Codility test is a very small initial step in a multi-step process, which also includes an interview, written correspondence, & a larger 8-hour coding challenge. The last step, the 8-hour challenge, is crafted to match a real day of work for a senior engineer as closely as possible -- & is paid, in order to clearly demonstrate that we value candidates time.
Clearly it is not a perfect process & we have more work to do to improve it, especially in the initial steps. We will continue working hard to improve our hiring processes. Thank you again for this feedback &, more importantly, your consideration in evaluating us as a potential employer.
