I applied via LinkedIn and was later connected with a recruiter from the company. First conversations with the recruiter were all job related and experience. After a week or so, I was contacted again to interview with two of their corporate managers. Second interview was generic with most questions being technical and “how would you handle” situational awareness questions. After a week or so, I received a generic email stating I was not moving forward. Being that I was invested in the role, I reached out for more feedback and was told that since I haven’t completed my degree (have one year left), having 12 years of experience wasn’t enough for the role. Kind of a joke considering I work at a senior level than that role and for the biggest company in the world (WMT). Overall, I wouldn’t want to work for a company that values education over experience.
