      Regional Manager Interview

      10 Mar 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Diego, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Aperto (CA) (San Diego, CA)

      Interview

The interview process was lengthy and confusing, with minimal information provided about the job role or the company itself. Despite multiple rounds of interviews, key details about the position, including its longevity and whether it was even temporary, remained unanswered. Additionally, the company required sensitive personal information upfront for a background check before extending an offer, which raised concerns about confidentiality and the potential impact on my current employment. Throughout the process, it became evident that they were essentially trying to combine two roles into one while offering extremely low compensation. The questions asked also suggested that they were looking for someone to take on a broad range of responsibilities without clarity on workload expectations or future job stability. Overall, the experience lacked transparency, making it difficult to gauge the true nature of the position or the company's intentions.

      Question 1

The interview process was unclear and overly complicated, with limited details provided about the job itself or the company. They required multiple rounds of interviews but failed to offer clear answers regarding the role’s responsibilities, duration, or potential for stability. It became evident that they were essentially looking for someone willing to take on the workload of two positions while receiving minimal pay. They strongly implied that I would need to be comfortable performing the duties of a higher-level role while still being compensated at a much lower rate. There was also uncertainty about whether I would officially hold the superior title or if this was just a way to stretch responsibilities without proper recognition or fair compensation. Additionally, they required sensitive personal information for a background check early in the process, even before extending a job offer, which raised concerns—especially since some of their interview questions could compromise my current employment. Overall, the lack of transparency, unrealistic expectations, and inadequate compensation made the process frustrating and unappealing.
