      Customer Success Manager Interview

      13 Sept 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      I interviewed at ApexChat

      Interview

Terrible and tedious. Amateurs. The initial interview was over an hour which was recorded. I was grilled about things that were already stated on my resume. Nothing pertinent to my skills was asked and/or what I could bring to the table. I was asked to answer a series of elementary questions online afterwards. They asked me about what my manager 6 years ago would say about me. What their name was. Then they asked about my manager from 8 years ago and what those coworkers would say about me. The second interview was supposed to be an hour and a half (!!!) panel but some people were a no show. I was sent to fill out an “official application” 15 minutes before said interview sent with PDF. This interview was also recorded. Again, I was asked the same questions from a different person who I found out came from recruiting and had only a few months of experience in CSM. This person thought it would be a good idea to disrespect my alma mater as an icebreaker. You would’ve thought either this person had a decade of experience the way you’re being condescended to. I stopped the interview half way theough. The company doesn’t seem to be very organized, and their interview process does not value the time of what would be a great hire. I would caution working for this company if the interview process is any indication.
