After applying on LinkedIn, I received an email from a higher up at the company two weeks later. He asked me a few questions including what my salary requirements are. I interviewed at a couple other places in LA for similar roles, and I gave what I believed is a fair number. I could've just given the number that's provided in the Glassdoor salary page for Apollo Interactive, but that's not a livable wage in a very HCOL city like LA. I responded the same day he sent out the email asking for these details.
It's been over a week since I gave my response, so I have to assume once I gave a number that wasn't in their range, they did what a lot of companies do now, and that is to ghost. He may have just been busy, but even if that was the case, not replying to a candidate would just show their disorganization and disfunction. Ghosting is not a new thing, but it certainly is cowardly. Apollo Interactive may have been a decent place to work at, but this person reflects very poorly on the company by being so unprofessional.
