I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AppOmni in Apr 2024
Easy interview
Application
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AppOmni
Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter for AppOmni through LinkedIn due to my experience being a perfect match for the available position. Had a very positive initial interview with the recruiter that ended with her telling me she felt like I would be a good fit and that I would for sure hear from her the following Monday to setup a second interview. Monday came and I got a very generic email directly from AppOmni telling me they were going to go in a different direction. Tried to reach back out to the recruiter for any constructive criticism or feedback and have been completely ignored. Not sure what they're looking for for this position or perhaps they happened to find someone else over the weekend. I guess I'll never know.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly just asked about my background and experience which aligned perfectly with the job description.
Initially set up with 4 interviews. Intake, technical screening, coding, and architecture. The intake was very pleasant, technical screening dove into my technical background and skillset. The coding interview was using a Vue.js application. The main content being communication through components and leveraging directives in Vue 2, testing, debugging, etc. The 4th interview is focused on system architecture.
Coding Challenge: Using 2 JSON objects and 3 provided Vue components, display the provided data. Display data filtered by a click event on the previously rendered component by id.
