Appatura interview questions

There was a short technical interview via video call with a senior engineer. They asked basic string manipulation questions, as well as a recursive algorithm question on how to find a certain sub-string within a larger string, I was also asked to make the algorithm iterative. I received an offer, but they severely low-balled me on compensation. First offer was minimum wage in the NJ office, after I declined they increased to $18/hr in Troy NY, there final offer was $25/hr.
