      Business Development Manager Interview

      21 Aug 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Aprimo in Jul 2025

      Interview

Honestly, the recruiter was great—super nice and very communicative. The process was three rounds, with the final one requiring a PowerPoint presentation. One of the interviews was with the President and COO, PG, and that part was rough. He came across extremely rude, was 10 minutes late, and made it clear he didn’t want to be on the call and had a hard stop. Overall, the process itself wasn’t difficult, but the environment didn’t feel very welcoming. The presentation was straightforward, but it honestly felt like a waste of time. I wouldn’t waste your time - they made it clear there’s a lot of turnover

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me to do a PowerPoint presentation on a “potential customer”. Honestly a huge waste of time.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the interview process. We are glad to hear that our recruitment team provided fantastic communication and support, as we aim to ensure that is a consistent part of every candidate’s journey. At the same time, we regret to learn that your interaction with leadership was not as positive and left you feeling as though the process wasn’t welcoming. Every candidate should feel respected and valued, and we will be sharing this feedback internally to ensure any improvements are made. We set high standards in our interviews and, for certain roles – such as the Business Development Representative that you interviewed for – we occasionally use more challenging interview techniques (sometimes referred to as stress-based interviewing) to reflect the reality of working with a wide variety of personalities. That said, these conversations are always meant to be constructive and collaborative, rather than discouraging. We also take concerns around turnover seriously, and our leadership team continues to invest in programs that build employee growth, engagement, and retention. We appreciate the effort you put into preparing for the process, including your presentation, and we regret that you felt it was a poor use of your time. Feedback like this is important as we continually refine how to ensure a candidate-first experience, and we thank you for your candid perspective.
