I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apto Payments in Apr 2022
Interview
I had my initial technical interview about a week following my phone screening with their LinkedIn recruiter. I passed the first interview and the following week was moved on to the final round consisting of 3 interviews, 2 technical and 1 behavioral. They allow you to split up the final round interviews over 2 days if preferable, but I did mine in one day.

-Demonstrate technical understanding of Connect 4 game
-Perform analysis on data read from CSV
-Implement an LRU cache
I was contacted by a recruiter who was nice and pleasant (they usually are) to me during out chat.
My technical interviewer, however, was least interested in interviewing me. I think I understand now what other reviewers are saying about indifferent interviewers.
After the technical challenge he asked me if I had any questions. I am not sure why he even bothered to ask me that since he was looked very pained when I did. It took him a lot of effort to provide monosyllabic answers to my questions. It seemed as if he was forced to take interviews when clearly he does not know how.
The next day I got an automated reply saying I was rejected. I guess I was not the code monkey they were hoping for.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a pleasant experience during our technical screen. We'll make sure to relay that information internally as a point of feedback. We strive for a positive candidate experience and will make adjustments going forward.
