I was cold-emailed about an Interface Engineer position and decided to jump into the process after some research.
3 Interviews: 2 live-coding, 1 personal. Mostly positive or positive initial feedback delivered via email shortly after each. Finally, I received "We believe you are a strong cultural fit and possess the skills required to be a successful Interface Engineer at Archipelo. We want to make you a job offer." Great!
(Notably, no technical question exercised my experience as a front-end/interface engineer. You could completely not know how to build an interface and pass the interview.)
The initial offer's salary didn't meet my standards. We worked something out and verbally agreed to a number, which was to be confirmed. A final, supposedly confirmatory, call resulted in my rejection on technical grounds.
