4 rounds of interviews, the interviews went great and they did a great job of explaining their organization, the role, and determining fit.
I ended up receiving an offer from the organization, however the offer was much lower than expected and low based on my experience and what I could bring to the table. I explained I was excited for the role and open to negotiating to find an salary that could work for both parties - he requested a day to get back to me to review any flexibility. The next day, I received a call from them.
The person on the call became upset and tried belittling my experience in an effort to get me at the offered salary. He also made a point to explain that he had another candidate that would accept at that rate. Before I could even get a word in, he expressed that he was coming across with a "dizzy spell" and needed to "call me back". Shortly after, I received a rejection email from the company. It was very unsettling and a strange experience.
