I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Art Form Architecture in May 2014
Interview
First I sat down with the owner of the company and we discussed my background and experience. She was very blunt about what she liked and did not like. I was a little put off by this since it was only for an internship, but it wasn't to the point that i'd consider it rude. Just very straight forward. Next, I was left alone in an office to take an online personality and analytical skills assessment. After I finished she printed the results and we went over them together. I assumed my results would have been discussed among the hiring managers after I was gone. Then I informally met with other members of the company because she got an important phone call. This was fine because I got a chance to see what the work atmosphere was like. I come from a very design heavy architecture program, which I was upfront and honest about, but she was looking for someone will more technical skills. I was not offered the job, but I had to call a week later to find that out. In my opinion this was more of a drafting position (i.e. someone to edit red lines).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked if I knew how to use 'Cheif Architect,' a drafting program that the owner beta tests for the software company.
