After a rather rigorous application of answering lots of questions and writing up a draft email and Instragram caption, I was invited to two interviews and then a trial. I was asked a lot about my own art and my teaching experience and how I would approach teaching art.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They showed me some works and asked me how I would get the students to improve the piece
I applied online. I interviewed at Art-K (High Wycombe, England) in Jun 2023
Interview
Interview itself was easy - Was all the same questions as it was on the application form. I wasn't asked about safeguarding or any of the questions I had prepared for which concerned me. After the interview I then was emailed some more questions which I felt like should have been asked in the interview as the interview felt like a waste of time considering it was just the same questions and again and felt like they hadn't looked through my application. So I withdrew my application after going through that and reading reviews of how they treated their staff.
Online interview, very relax interviewing process. Made the whole experience very calming and reassuring. Very quick responses to any contact with them when asking any questions. Which was great, which made the whole application process easier than I expected.
