      Registered Nurse Utilization Management Interview

      27 Jan 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ascension in Jan 2024

      Interview

I had two interviews. Once was a brief screening with the recruiter where they tried to pressure me into interviewing for a role I did not apply for. I kindly declined that and noted if they wanted to interview for the role I actually applied for that was all I had interest in at this time, but I was only interested in one job opening they had. The next week I received an email from the same recruiter trying to schedule me for an interview with the hiring manager. I asked directly if this was for the role I applied for and if so stated I would be available for the interview. The recruiter scheduled the interview with the hiring manager. I log onto the interview with the hiring team. I was early. One party was a minute or two late, the other several minutes late. They did not seem excited about their company or the interview at all, it honestly felt like I was an inconvenience to them already. The whole time it was basically them reading a script. They asked about me but honestly seemed disinterested in the whole thing from my perspective. A few minutes in I directly asked them to clarify which role they were interviewing me for as they did not state at the beginning of the call, to my surprise it was for the job I did NOT apply for and had told the recruiter multiple times I was not interested in. At this point I ended the interview. Unfortunately this turned out to be a huge waste of everyone’s time and could have been avoided if their team had been more professional. Obviously this is just my experience and I firmly believe experience greatly depends on the management.
