Aspora Software Engineer interview questions

Application process: Recruiter reached out a couple of times. Stage 1: Resume deep dive with a engineer + a system design problem Stage 2: Machine coding round to implement a ledger that's scalable. The interviewer seemed inexperienced and wasn't well versed with scalable design principles. He suggested to use optimistic locking in a high contention scenario. Wasn't too happy when I countered that an event sourcing approach would be more ideal and that ledgers should operate on a strong consistency model for writes. Overall experience: The engineering team doesn't seem very experienced and the company is dealing with a lot of technical debt, Avoid interviewing if you have better options.
