The one thing i can admit is that all interviewers that i came across at Athena during the entire initial discussion were polite!
Apart from this I also enjoyed doing their assignment. But, from the start I kinda got a feeling that they will not go ahead with me because they themselves seemed unclear regarding who would be a right fit for them. Let me explain-
They posted multiple recruitment posts on LinkedIn in a period of 4-5 days as they wanted lots of applicants.
First call with HR- where she explained the company culture and role and shared assignment. She seemed less concerned about deadline but more about creative thought and doing the assignment with full spirit.
After my assignment submission, they took one week to call me. Initially, the HR team said that the assignment was good (I think they were trying to be polite). They chatted with me for 40 minutes. Later the same day, they sent email mentioning that they won’t move ahead.
I personally feel, they select candidates who are from premium universities of abroad. So, if you fall in that category then go ahead and apply.
Although my assignment was creative and quite good ( I feel), but my profile was aligned more with Content Marketing- having 6 years experience in that field.
Although HR team was polite. I still feel they shouldn’t ask everyone to do the assignment. I think the HR team could do better screening and only call candidates who seem to be a good fit - having enriched creative writing experience or have studied English Literature from renowned colleges abroad.
None the less, enjoyed doing their assignment (for a change) ;) :)
