I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Atlantic Media Company in Jan 2015
Interview
Came in through a recruiting firm for software developers. Submitted code samples, my GitHub repo, and a few live sites to the recruiter. Answered a few questions to them, and was put in touch with people who would become my boss and boss' boss. Did one phone interview and one in-person, and was offered the role.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Atlantic Media Company (Washington, DC) in Jun 2016
Interview
Sat down with interviewer at recruiter's office. Went over previous projects. Was asked various basic-intermediate Python-centric questions. Magic methods, diffs between 2 and 3, generators, etc. Nothing too difficult. Interestingly no real Django specific questions. Provided you have a bit of experience and a solid command of Python, what will make or break you will probably be your public code (e.g. github). Perhaps.
