      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Atlas Technica (New York, NY)

      Interview

The interview process was the hardest I ever went through. I was tested on multitude of different technologies and went further into areas I was more familiar with to drill down deeper into my knowledge. I went through an HR interview with a few simple questions and then a technical interview that was about 3 hours long covering a variety of scenarios speaking with various directors at the firm and owner. At the end I had a one on one chat with the owner who is technical (which is refreshing) and got a better understanding of how the company does things. The end conversation with the owner sold me on the company. The interview process was hard, but worth it as they vet employees and make sure there is a high standard for the engineers that get hired. It's refreshing to work with intelligent and experienced colleagues that you can relay on.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Atlas Technica (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2025

      Interview

The interview process consisted of several rounds and lasted multiple hours in total. It was one of the most technical and thorough interview experiences I’ve encountered, testing both practical knowledge and analytical thinking skills. The initial rounds with recruiters focused on foundational technical concepts and general knowledge questions, followed by written assessments. After progressing through those stages, I met with engineers who presented advanced technical challenges. One was a verbal scenario that required thoughtful reasoning, another was an architectural design exercise, and the final stage involved a remote troubleshooting session. After completing approximately six rounds, including a cognitive test, I did not receive an offer. While reflecting on the experience, I came across a YouTube interview featuring the CEO, Serge Bukhar, titled “Zero to $60M 100% Organically.” Around the 24-minute mark, he explains that the company seeks engineers who take a scientific approach to troubleshooting rather than relying on memorized methods. Looking back, I believe I performed well throughout most of the process and came close to the finish line. The final technical rounds were especially challenging, as they introduced additional hurdles and unexpected twists that required on-the-spot adaptation. While these final steps tested my limits, they also highlighted how important it is to continuously refine my troubleshooting approach as new variables emerge. Overall, it was a demanding but valuable experience that helped me identify how to further strengthen my technical and problem-solving skills for future opportunities.

      Question 1

I won’t share specific questions, but overall there was a combination of standard behavioral questions and detailed technical scenarios.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Atlas Technica (New York, NY) in Jul 2020

      Interview

As others have reported, this is an extremely long and difficult interview process. Definitely the toughest I ever encountered. My technical interview took close to 3-4 hours long which I guess is a good thing since they go deeper with the questions if you demonstrate knowledge in a particular area of expertise. I was sweating bullets hoping for it to end, however the interview process prompted me to accept their offer as I was convinced they only want the best and brightest working there and I felt it was the best place to grow a career.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

They test your knowledge on hardware and ask a lot of questions on virtualization technologies like Hyper-V and XenServer.
      Answer question

      Question 2

They throw various scenarios at you with issues users at clients can have. User can't get to a trading application, what do you do?
