      Human Resources Manager Interview

      13 May 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Atomic Provisions (Denver, CO) in Mar 2022

      Interview

Met with HR to discuss the role. We started to discuss my background and the role. I have never got a great feel and her tone was almost condescending after some of my responses. What was the kicker is when she went into an explanation of how she was looking for a "unicorn" for the role. She mentioned she wanted someone who was perfect for the job. Below is AP's mission statement. We are committed to serving, caring, teaching and empowering each other to become the best version of ourselves, resulting in not only a great place to work & eat, but also reaching our goal of 500 internal promotions along our journey, Her claim to want a "unicorn" in my opinion does not align with their mission. I knew from that point I had no chance. So much for giving someone an opportunity to bring their experiences to the table and to continue to develop and grow. This interview was mid-week and she mentioned she would reach out either way by the end of the week. Never heard back from her. All of these flags point to why the req. was open for 4-5 months and also posted by outside recruiters as well.
