      Sales Development Representative (SDR) Interview

      8 May 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Augury

      Interview

The first 2 interviews went great, the recruiter was extremely kind and knowledgable about the role. Next step was interviewing with the manager I would be working under, it went great from my perspective and he told me on the call that I would definitely be moving up. Next was a take home video assignment then a mock call with his 2nd in command. This is when things took a turn. Fernando was very off putting from the beginning, he had rescheduled me once, he showed up nearly 10 minutes late, and did not have the courtesy of having his camera on. We did the mock call, according to him, I sounded "confident" and great. I asked for feedback, if there was anything I missed that he would have liked to hear, he said no. again, he was very short, and did not seem to be paying full attention. I received the rejection email a few hours later stating that he thought I was "too nervous" and did not succeed in the mock call. Very contradictory to what he told me on the call. Not only did his lack of respect for my time offend me but I am also confused how someone lower than the actual manager can halt you from moving on.
