Interview
Like others below have previously mentioned, I'd be cautious if applying for a job here. Not because I didn't get the job - that happens - but because after four interviews, including an extensive case study which they really seemed to like, the company suddenly pulled the position, telling me it would be re-listed at a later time. Given the questions asked during the interviews, I suspect they're using senior candidates to get valuable market information, only to re-list the job for junior applicants later in order to save money. Apparently they're not very profitable anymore, and I got a sense during one of the interviews that the work environment at the company may be less than desirable these days. It's a shame, because on paper (and before I read the other reviews here) it looked like a decent employer.

Interview
A complete waste of time - the company didn’t know what they wanted and wasted a month and a half of my time. I had 4 rounds in total with stakeholders including the TA team, the current person in the role, and some new VP. The process including a detailed case study for - and I quote - “a totally fictional product”. I received really strong, positive feedback at different points. In the final interview, they asked me, “If we made you an offer and so did another company, would you accept it?” To which I said yes, I would absolutely accept AutoStore’s offer. And then two days later, they rejected me saying they were reassessing the role’s requirements - following which, they:
1) Reposted the job with a different description, focusing on one part of the product marketing function, using words and processes that sounded not only shockingly similar to everything I had told them, but even mirrored the whole sequence.
2) I saw my work from the case study reflected in their bi-annual product launch announcement.
I know companies can stoop low, but this is a new level - they knew I had been laid off, they knew I was keen on the job, they saw the effort I put in, and then they gave me the most robotic automated rejection after putting me through the entire process. The least they could’ve done was bring in the stakeholders to offer constructive feedback, which I asked for, but nope. Complete crickets. I’d avoid interviewing for this role/the marketing function.

Interview
After 4 rounds of interviews and hours of preparation, the process ends with an automated rejection email, the same one sent to candidates who don’t even make it past the first stage, stating that the position has already been filled. There’s no personalised feedback, even after the final interview.
Throughout the process, several interviewers expressed dissatisfaction with the company, having no internal alignment and a lack of expertise. Most concerning was that this was especially evident at the VP level, where the people making the final decisions did not appear well aligned with the responsibilities of their roles.
A VP openly responding with “I don’t have an answer to your question,” and asking personal questions about my spouse, is simply unacceptable. The interviews provided no meaningful value, there was no knowledge exchange, no peer-level discussion, and no insight gained. In the end, the entire process felt like a significant waste of time and mental effort.
At no point in the process was the net salary discussed, nor was it stated in the job description or addressed in the application form. This lack of transparency raises serious questions about how concrete the hiring intent actually was.
