I was invited for a first-round onsite interview, where the interviewer was professional and asked focused, relevant questions instead of the usual basic theory ones most companies ask. A week later, I had a second-round interview with the department head, which also went well. However, things took an unprofessional turn when, after clearing both rounds, HR informed me the position was “on hold.” If the role was truly on hold, why continue posting the job on LinkedIn and Indeed? To make matters worse, they stopped responding altogether when I followed up. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful of candidates’ time and effort.
