I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Avis Budget Group (Saint Louis, MO) in Feb 2015
Interview
The City Manager, Anstey, was great! He was authoritative and seemed to be a great leader as well as a positive mentor. Under his guidance and with his forward thinking I was convinced this could be a great company to work for. During the 2 hour interview Anstey listed all of the pros and cons of the position to make sure that I made an informed decision.
Interviewer was late and continuously mentioned the required relocation. I understand that is important, but I feel like I wasn't even being interviewed. Besides that, easy interview questions. About 30 minutes in length.
Friendly and conversational. Met with managers who were positive and informative. They interview with the idea that you will work into a promotion in mind. They look for qualities of area managers , etc.
Interview process was straight forward and efficient. Interview was behavioral in nature. I was able to make an informed decision as they provided appropriate context for the duties of the position.
