I recently had an interview where I sensed a negative attitude from the interviewer, leading me to believe they had already decided against hiring me, merely going through the motions to comply with company procedures. This lack of feedback has left me feeling disheartened, as constructive criticism would have been valuable for my future endeavors.
I encountered a very sad situation. I applied for the position as a candidate with a disability. My disability does not affect my ability to do my job or write code. Throughout my life, I have faced many challenges. Completing my university degree, doing a master's, and gaining 5–6 years of industry experience have all been much more difficult for me than for an average person. I applied to this position trusting the company's "Disability Confident" statement and their claim that they would interview those who meet the minimum requirements. They supposedly valued diversity, but I received a rejection email without even being invited to an interview. I have a degree in Computer Engineering, a master's in Data Science, and a paper published, along with 5–6 years of industry experience. I meet all the listed qualifications, but they didn’t even invite me to an interview.

Interview
Seems like they are looking more for a software engineer than a machine learning engineer. I successfully answered all their questions and in the end, they asked me if I want to work as a software engineer.
