I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Aya Healthcare
Interview
Aya has been my dream to work at and I have tried everything just to get an interview with them for over a year. I’ve taken the exact same PI assessment with another company for the same industry/position and passed (they won’t interview you unless you pass), had multiple people send in my resume, have healthcare recruiting experience, I’ve even spoken with the CEO on LinkedIn who told me to reach out to a recruiter and never heard back from anyone. I have tried everything I can possibly think of. I can only think of my updated resume reflecting my past experience as longer because I was traveling/in school and decided to change it to the entirety I was employed but I haven’t even been given the chance to explain the discrepancy if that was the issue. I’ve thought that I could’ve applied too many times but I’ve never actually interviewed and it’s been over the course of a year+. It’s so discouraging and frustrating to have gone to such lengths and have above the qualifications required but not be given a chance to interview. I know I could succeed in the role but I’ve given up at this point.
I applied online. I interviewed at Aya Healthcare (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Did phone screening and didn’t hear back. Questions were basic but not sure what they were looking for more salesy than recruiting. After that didn’t hear back. They were pretty picky but job descriptions is entry level

This was one of the most unprofessional interview processes I’ve experienced in quite some time. As a recruiter myself, I make it a point to clearly communicate with candidates when sending an assessment, including letting them know it may land in spam since it’s often the first outreach and contains a link. I would never expect a candidate to complete an assessment without any prior communication or context.
After completing the assessment, I received no follow-up and was effectively ghosted. Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve had this experience with an Aya recruiter. I understand that things get busy, but clear and respectful communication should remain a priority throughout the process.
