It is deeply concerning to encounter practices wherein prospective employers mandate the completion of unpaid assignments prior to interviews. This practice, in which candidates are compelled to invest their time and effort without any guarantee of employment, warrants serious scrutiny and I would avoid this company or any other business that asks you to do this.
In my recent experience, I was tasked with completing such an assignment within a tight two-day weekend (so, personal timeframe) only to receive minimal acknowledgment and no substantive feedback after a two week wait. This not only demands a significant commitment of time and resources from candidates but also lacks the essential element of constructive engagement and human interaction.
Candidates deserve transparent and respectful treatment throughout the hiring process, including timely feedback regardless of the outcome. Really really poor and you deserve to be shamed.
