Interview
Firstly, I was informed about the interview less than 24 hours in advance, which I found quite short notice. As a candidate, especially for a first interaction, this didn’t create the best initial impression. Additionally, the interview was rescheduled two hours earlier than originally planned — again, on short notice — and I was the final candidate to be interviewed that day. These factors combined gave an impression of disorganisation and made the experience feel somewhat rushed and impersonal.
Secondly, while I was initially unbothered by the fact that the panel consisted entirely of men, I couldn’t help but notice subtle gestures during the session that suggested frustration or impatience with some of my responses. That, paired with the unexpectedly technical nature of the questions, made the environment feel more intimidating than constructive.
