I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bath & Body Works in Jul 2011
Interview
I thought it was a pretty simple group interview (It had been my 2nd that week so I was kind of in the swing of it already) There were supposed to be 5 girls but only me and another lady who had worked there before showed up.
Like said earlier, they had us pick out something in the store while we waited and then we were taken into the back to do our interviews.
Questions we were asked:
Introduce yourself
Why BBW?
What is a good/bad retail experience you've had?
How do you perceive the BBW costumers?
Sell the item you picked to the manager
What would you do if you had unfinished work but were at the end of your shift?
And then we discussed dress code, discounts, etc. I started off first and I don't think there was a completely noticeable difference between first and second (because there were only two of us) but to be honest, I knew the I killed it. What the other interviewer did that the manager was really displeased about was 1) she badmouthed another company during the interview 2) she was really vague in her 'selling' 3) when she discussed unfinished work, she said it'd never happen to her which is really unrealistic and she got reprimanded by the manager for it.
I applied online. I interviewed at Bath & Body Works (Prosper, TX)
Interview
Easy and straightforward! One in-person interview with the manager after applying online and then I received an offer during the interview. Worked here for 2 years and loved it. Basic questions about previous experience and why this company

Will ask you to play out sales scenario towards end of shift. Very inviting and welcoming environment from management. You do not need prior sales experience they will teach you.

Interview
Very structured and easygoing. The hiring manager was very polite and asked important questions. I didn't hear back until about two weeks later, and I accepted the position. Ended up working there for 4 years and had an awesome experience.
