1. Excessively straightforward
The interviews with the founders were IMO rude, excessively straightforward, and somewhat cocky. Their expressions and tone during the interviews were rather harsh, making it a challenging experience. In the first interview, I was immediately marked as a 'red flag' for having explored other job opportunities within a span of less than three years. If I am one, why even consider me as one of the candidates?
2. Lack professionalism
Lack of professionalism displayed when one of them pulled out a vape and started smoking during the virtual interview - disrespectful and unprofessional.
3. Ridiculous response time
Following the interviews, I requested some time to consider my decision as the provided timeframe for response was unreasonably short. While I acknowledge that applying was my choice, I had to consider what the company has to offer. Ultimately, I declined.
4. Disheartening Language
Regrettably, the response I received upon declining was disheartening. The reply conveyed a negative tone, suggesting an expectation that 'I lacked commitment', as if this impression had been formed from the start.
If I feel so disrespected and uncomfortable even during the interview process, what more to say to work WITH them daily?
I am SO GLAD to have avoided what could have been a challenging work environment, and I encourage others to carefully consider their decision before applying.
