I saw the position posted on LinkedIn. So I applied online directly through the companies recruiting system. I received a call a few weeks later from a recruiter based in Toronto, Canada yet the position was located in Los Angeles. She asked if we could speak the following day. We did. It was fairly brief. She wanted to be walked through my resume and really wanted reasoning behind job changes. She had no finance know how so as I was describing my past roles it seemed to go over her head. She expressed concern that I had worked for firms much larger than beeline, I attempted to explain that the total company size is irrelevant as most of your life at work is with your immediate group. That seemed to not go well with her either. She then wanted to know salary history which I am of the belief that salary history such only be confirmed after an offer has been accepted and as part of a background check. She left me with the impression that my resume would not be passed on to the hiring manager without it. Never heard from the company again. The position is reposted on all of the boards now. Good luck.
