It was a good interview process that lasted 45 minutes long. They just asked me questions on my background and interests, and what I learned at school, nothing technical was asked.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Belimo (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2025
Interview
I was contacted by the internal recruiter on a Wednesday, about 2 weeks after I applied and then completed a phone screen with them the following Monday and was quickly advanced to a Teams interview the next Monday with the hiring manager.
The interview went well. And it was clearly communicated that I was one of a 4-5 candidates, including an internal. It was further communicated that I would hear about next steps (an interview with the incumbent who was promoted) by the end of the week as all candidates were interviewing between Monday and Wednesday.
I followed up with an email that highlighted a strength that was noted as critical. I further followed up with an additional value added note later in the week and a touch base call to the recruited on Friday afternoon. Hearing nothing back from any of those engagements. I called and emailed the following week to demonstrate my sincere interest and to gain more understanding on where I stood with them.
All told, 5 professional touches after the interview over 10 business days.
Despite those efforts, their next communication was from the internal recruiter 5 weeks after that Teams interview informing me that they had gone another direction. By then I had moved on.
This is highly unprofessional and disappointing.

Question 1
How have you effectively maintained and improved morale with a veteran team while navigating change?

Interview
I went through a 2.5-month interview process with four rounds of various interviews, only to get a rejection email saying they went with "better-fitted candidate." What’s frustrating is that months later, the same position and many others are still posted. It’s clear they’re not actively hiring but just reposting roles to maintain appearances. The whole experience felt like a waste of time and energy.
Thank you for taking the time to review your interview experience with Belimo and I'm sorry to hear it wasn't a positive experience for you. That is never our intention. We do our best to have a concise process, but admittedly, we are thorough and most roles require a few rounds of interviews. What I can share is that due to the tremendous growth we're experiencing, many of our posted positions are looking to hire multiple employees - and this is the reason the role may still be posted. While Belimo may have not been the right fit for you, we are hoping you find success in your job search and the right fit soon.
