Online screening in a zoom call with a recruiter. With some questions asked about the job, some about strengths and previous experiences as well as a few questions about the company
I applied online. I interviewed at Bending Spoons in Jun 2025
Interview
Fun, rigorous, and definitely makes you think.
Pros: The recruitment process at Bending Spoons is unlike many others I’ve done. It was honestly fun and intellectually challenging. Instead of just standard LeetCode grinding, the assessments really force you to think from first principles. It feels like they are genuinely testing your reasoning ability and potential rather than just your memory.
Crucially, the interviewers made a huge difference. They were incredibly nice and welcoming, which made the live sessions feel much less stressful. It felt like a collaborative discussion with future colleagues rather than a strict interrogation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Behavioural questions, logic and problem solving questions and system design questions.
There was a task round and then some interviews. The process tests a lot of logical reasoning and quick thinking. The interviews were mostly focused around soft skills and problem solving. If you like logic puzzles this process is pretty interesting.
Two rounds of several tasks, most of which were logic problems, some were programing. After I did two interviews, a both were half behavioral, the second half was logic based on the first one and system design on the second one.
