      Senior Learning Experience Manager Interview

      25 May 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Seattle, WA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at BetterUp (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2021

      Interview

I met with the team manager, the hiring manager, was given a take-home assessment to complete (which was quite tough and comprehensive, but gave me a good sense of what the role would entail), and then met with other members of the team as well as people from different departments and company leadership before being offered the job. In total, I met with 9 different people throughout the interview process.

      Senior Learning Experience Manager Interview

      26 Oct 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at BetterUp

      Interview

The interview process was very thorough, and consisted of several series of interviews with a variety of stakeholders from across the company. From start to finish, it took a few months, and the recruiting and hiring team did a great job of keeping me informed every step of the way. The series of interviews were part behavioral/values based, and part tactical, including a take home assignment and an opportunity to present the assignment and explain my thought process in developing it. The interview process consisted of the following steps: 1: Screening call with HR 2: Screening call with member of the team I applied to join 3: Interview with hiring manager 4: Assigned a take home home assessment 5. Invitation to walk through assessment with hiring manager and team member 6. Cross-functional behavioral interviews (3 total) 7. Executive interview 8. Founder/exec leader interview Throughout the process both the hiring manager and HR were transparent, feedback-oriented, and responsive, which was a signal to me that this was the kind of organization that I wanted to be a part of. Now that I am an official employee and able to see the immense amount of talent that makes up BetterUp's employee base, I understand why they go through such a thorough vetting process.
