I interviewed at BioScript Solutions (Toronto, ON)
Interview
First, there’s an application review. Employers (often retail pharmacies or clinics) look for basic qualifications like customer service experience, attention to detail, and sometimes familiarity with medications or pharmacy systems.
Next is a short screening call. This is usually with a recruiter or store manager. They’ll confirm your availability, ask why you want to work in a pharmacy, and check that you understand the role involves both customer interaction and administrative tasks.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
“How would you handle a difficult or upset customer?”
They ask this because the role is heavily customer-facing, and pharmacies can be stressful environments (long waits, prescription issues, insurance problems, etc.). They want to see if you can stay calm, professional, and helpful under pressure.

Step 1: You receive an email from their talen acquisition team asking you to participate in a pre-screening interview.

Step 3: The hiring manager will ask you approximately 8 questions in both English and French.
Step 4: Questions I was asked
- Tell me about a time where you went above and beyond for a patient.
- How do you manage multiple priorities at once.
- What attracted you to the role.
Had the first interview with HR, discussed the role, salary expectations.
Then second interview with the hiring manager and the director - very interactive interview with thoughtful questions based on what they're looking for (a lot of questions around performance management)
