I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Bitly (Denver, CO)
Interview
Very friendly people in all interviews. Questions were fair and thoughtful. I left feeling like they wanted to see my best. The product/management team was extremely intentional about finding people that fit Bitly's culture.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bitly (New York, NY) in May 2019
Interview
The interview was quite speedy, and by far the most THOUGHTFUL one I've seen in my career. The process is clearly well-designed so that candidates have a smooth experience from start to finish, regardless of outcomes. No strange whiteboarding exercises, no grilling, no excessive amounts of time, and you interview with some incredibly sharp folks, IQ and EQ-wise.
The process was as follows:
1. contacted by recruiter
2. phone screen by recruiter
3. Google Hangout screen
4. take-home interview
5. on-site interview (4hrs total time) which consisted of individual group interviews (2 people max) focusing on technical skills, behavior, product, and systems design.
6. offer
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bitly
Interview
1. Phone interview with a recruiter
2. Then virtual interview with Hiring manager
3. Next is coding challenge
4. Interview with Team
I stopped after 3 because salary expectations were a lot lower than I expected and there was no relocation assistance.
