I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at BlackLine (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Smooth and easy...Applied through Linkedin Job Portal ..recruiter contacted and had a first round phone screen with a tech lead
Basic .Net questions and Microsoft sql server questions
1 hr interview
The first interview is a series of basic, standard computer science and tech-specific questions. It's an old school style of interviewing that is easy as a candidate if you skim a few computer books in advance or look up common software interview questions. However, this interview style rarely provides genuine insight about the candidate. I've worked with so many engineers that can ace this type of interview but are terrible engineers. There were also several red flags so make sure to ask detailed questions about their culture and current technology stack to make sure it's a good fit.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BlackLine (Woodland Hills, CA)
Interview
A recruiter reached out me. It was the basic behavioral and technical phone screen. In 24 hours I received a call back inviting me for an in person interview. In person took almost 4 hours. I met with different team members and placed in front of a white board. Once again in 24 hours I received a call back asking for references and an offer was made two or three days later.
