Sent an online application in October. HR then rejects my application early in November. They get back to me in April saying that the position was open and that they could resubmit my CV. I accepted and was asked to do a phone interview.
I had two phone interviews and the questions were fairly basic behavioural questions. Nothing too hard. I was told by the interviewer that they'll contact me about an Assessment Center soon.
It took them more than a month to get back to me with the details of the AC. They ask me to book a hotel and flight with a third party (which messed up the flight dates but fortunately corrected them in time). The AC was pretty standard as well, 4 interviews with mostly behavioural questions. The last interview was a logical one with some math problems.
I was told I was going to receive some feedback with a final decision within one week, but the interviewer said it will take them maximum two weeks. It took them more than three weeks with multiple follow-ups to actually give me a standard rejection letter.
To get my expenses reimbursed I had to ask for an expense form in two separate emails. Needless to say I obviously haven't even received a confirmation.
Overall, BlackRock looked really good online and at events. I had a negative experience possibly due to HR. Personally, I don't think I want to work for a company that has zero respect for my time and efforts.
