I applied through a referral and received an email inviting me to schedule a screening interview within 3 days. The screening interview was conducted online and consisted of the usual set of standard interview questions. Surprisingly, only two days later, I received an email informing me that they had chosen to proceed with other candidates. However, what impressed me was their willingness to provide feedback when I asked for it. Instead of the typical ghosting behavior displayed by many companies, the interviewer took the time to explain the specific qualities they were seeking for the position, which took the edge off the disappointment and helped me narrow my focus for my job hunt.
