I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Bloom Procurement Services (Gateshead, England) in Jan 2023
Interview
Manners maketh man. I had two interviews for this role and these were remotely held. The interviewers were, bar one, all extremely engaging and pleasant making these amongst the most refreshing and enjoyable that I've had - other companies take note! I also had a PRISM test which is a profiling tool that you perform online. You can't actually "fail" this, it's more about seeing your team fit. That's where the positives end. The rest of the experience has been a frustrating negative. Four months from first to second interview. No feedback whatsoever. Not a word. Second interview delayed and moved around because the manager couldn't find the time. Asking if I could cut short my three months notice period , then leaving months between interview stages. HR appeared to have no clue what they were doing. So despite having spent hours on prep and learning about the team structure, the actual product etc I have no idea whether I got the role as I have never heard back from them. Appalling way to treat people and Bloom could really do with appreciating that the interview process is a two way street and that job hunting is stressful enough without being strung along or left in limbo. In over three decades in IT I can honestly say I've never seen anything as chaotic as this. I've answered "no" on the "did you get an offer?" question as I never got anything either way, however I doubt there would be one forthcoming after this report.
Thank you for your feedback. Apologies you had this experience. The candidate experience is incredibly important to us so we will look to address internally.
