I applied directly to Bloomberg via a Languages website there was no salary advertised.
A month or so after submitting the application I got a call from someone in their HR who asked whether I could do a phone interview the next day. I did that and was asked to come for a face to face interview the following week.
First impressions....good...lovely building...free snacks and drinks....a bit of a ..."stepford" environment you coud say but then thought I could live with that.
After at least a half hour wait, I was then interviewed (this lasted about an hour and a half) by 2 staff members that I think had just been promoted to Lead roles since the Manager was unavailable....my first turn off. When the Manager eventually surfaced from his meeting another of his colleagues, they both seemed to have the kind of attitude that did not instill a lot of confidence.
My overall impression was that if hired I would be working in a factory mentality led environment where outwardly things appeared professional but under the surface there would be a deep rooted fear of crossing him and/or those that he surrounded himself by. I spoke to them for about another hour. I found out eventually that the position was entry level and as the salary is unadvertised I could not be sure how much they were paying but now suppose it's around £25K with a possible maximum of £30K for the role. I was looking for a lot more given my experience so it was not my cup of tea.
I did ask for feedback but did not get any at all and looking at some of the comments on this site I am not at all surprised!!!!!
