I applied online. I interviewed at Blue Flame Agency (New York, NY) in Jan 2018
Interview
I applied online. Got an email from the head of talent to schedule a phone interview, the phone portion lasted MAYBE 10 minutes which was really odd. I went into the office for an in-person the following week, the person I was supposed to speak with cancelled once I got there so I ended up getting interviewed by a person, who was really nice, but worked in Production i.e. had no idea about the role/qualifications , couldn't answer any of my questions. After the odd experience I reached back out to HR to see if I could re-schedule and meet with my original interviewer and got an automatic response email that she would get back to me. I followed up a few days later and got the same automatic response. They seem super disorganized.
Very chill interview process. Staff is super respectful, resourceful and helpful. Made me super comfortable during the interview. Gave me a clear understanding of the role and what's expected out of someone in the role. Very transparent when it came to breaking down some of the responsibilities that came with the position.

Interview
They make you have a phone interview first, then if you pass that they will bring you into their corporate offices. They asked several questions about my experience that was on my resume, also if I was open to wearing many different hats and if I was able to be proactive in my work. The women that interviewed me tried to size me up, which was fine because the confidence in my abilities made them look like fools in the end. After meeting with them they then had me meet one of the HR managers who was very unorganized and somewhat unprofessional, she was nice but something about her was off. And the company was not diverse, mostly African American employees, being that I was not African American, the first girls that interviewed me tried to make me feel like I was somewhat below them, either that or they felt threatened by me. Being that I am confident in my abilities and have been around many different types of people with various personality traits, they were very easy to read, but if you have low confidence in your interviewing abilities, I can see how someone else might have been intimidated. Also they work weird hours from 10 AM to 7 PM.
